Deeside Dragons’ Star Stays Another Year
The Aspray Chester Deeside Dragons are thrilled to announce the return of legend Marc Lovell for One More Year!
Marc has been a mainstay at the Dragons for almost twenty years, and this will be his 22nd season of senior hockey. Last season he registered 6 assists in 25 games, and was an invaluable member of the team and the coaching staff.
Marc was the recipient of the Deeside Dragons Team Player Of The Year award this summer, and as a testament to his dedication towards the Dragons, we have renamed this award going forward to the Marc Lovell award, given to the player who best exemplifies the values we see in Marc every time he steps into the rink.
“It’s a pleasure to be back for next season, and I’m looking forward to getting going again. I wasn’t sure if last season was going to be my last, but thinking about it, and talking to Mike, I feel we have a good group here in Deeside with the mix of youth coming through and experienced players returning. We’re capable of doing something special next season, and I want to be part of that and to help make the Dragons successful.
