Young Dragons Set for Year Two in NIHL Division 1

The Deeside Dragons are pleased to confirm the return of Henry Phillips, Daniels Fadejevs, and Cody Ogden for the second season of their two-year contracts. All three players gained valuable experience in their first year of NIHL Division 1 North hockey and are now looking to build on that foundation as they continue to develop at a higher level.

As part of their ongoing development, all three players will also be eligible to ice for Dragons 2 (NIHL Division 2) this season, operating on two-way contracts. This will allow them valuable ice time and opportunity across both levels of senior hockey.

Henry Phillips – Defence

A steady presence on the blue line, Henry featured in 14 games last season, contributing 1 goal and 3 assists. His first year at Division 1 level saw him grow in confidence and composure, and we’re looking forward to seeing how he continues to adapt and assert himself this year.

Daniels Fadejevs – Forward

British/Latvian forward Daniels Fadejevs played in 23 games last season, registering 1 goal and 3 assists. He showed a strong work ethic and good positional awareness throughout the year. With a season of senior hockey under his belt, we’re excited to see his progression continue.

Cody Ogden – Forward

Cody had a strong showing in his debut campaign, scoring 4 goals and adding 5 assists across 19 games. With his speed and determination, he became a player to watch in several key moments last season. His development will be one to follow closely as the season unfolds.

These three young players are continuing to learn and grow in what is a challenging and competitive league. Their return reflects the club’s commitment to developing young talent and providing opportunities at senior level. With increased responsibility and the flexibility of dual eligibility, we look forward to seeing Henry, Daniels, and Cody continue to take their chances and make their mark this season.
