The wait is nearly over… the 2025/26 NIHL season is LESS than a month away!
And the action starts with a bang as we host our Pre-Season Double Header against Telford Tigers 2.
🔥 Home Game – Saturday 6th September
- 🕔 Face-Off: 5:15pm
- 🚪 Doors Open: 4:30pm
This isn’t just a pre-season run out – it’s the first chance for Dragons fans to see the new squad in action. After months of planning, recruitment, and hard work off the ice, the Dragons are back – and we want YOU there to witness the first steps of the journey.
All eyes will be on our American import, Colin Cromie, making his debut for the Dragons. Cromie brings a reputation for grit, skill, and personality – and the Den faithful will no doubt make sure he feels right at home.

🗣️ “I’m really looking forward to playing in front of the Dragons fans for the first time. I’ve heard so much about the atmosphere in the Den and I can’t wait to experience it for myself. The welcome I got at the Season Ticket Event last Saturday honestly blew me away – everyone was so supportive and made me feel right at home. Now I just want to get out there and play in front of them.” – Colin Cromie
But he’s not the only new face to watch. This game is also your first opportunity to see Matty Barlow, Rhys Edwards, and the rest of our new Dragons pulling on the jersey for the first time in front of the home crowd. Pre-season or not, every one of them will be battling to impress and cement their place in the lineup.

🗣️ “I’ve played in the Den before as an opponent with Widnes and I know exactly how loud and passionate the fans are. To finally be on the Dragons side of that noise is something I can’t wait for. I want to give everything I’ve got and make sure the fans go home proud.” – Matty Barlow

🗣️ “The Den has always been one of the hardest rinks to come into as an away player – the fans make it such a tough place to play. Now I’m buzzing to have that support behind me instead of against me. I’m really excited to get started and show what I can bring to the team.” – Rhys Edwards
And the new faces don’t stop there. Dragons fans will also get their first look at:
- 🧤 New Netminder Tyler de la Bertouche
- 🛡️ Defencemen Ethan Mayoh & Bailey Thomas
- 🚨 Forward Noah Percival
Pre-season or not, every one of them will be battling to impress and cement their place in the lineup.
This is where new heroes are made. The Den has always been known for its atmosphere – loud, passionate, and intimidating for anyone who dares step onto our ice. On September 6th, we need it packed, we need it rocking, and we need it ready to launch the new campaign with a bang.
🎟️ Don’t leave it too late – tickets will move fast. Secure yours now, bring your family and friends, and be part of night one of the new era.
🙌 Backed by Our Partners

As the new season approaches, we want to give huge thanks to our 2025/26 Commercial Partners and Sponsors. Without their commitment, passion, and belief in what we are building, none of this would be possible.
This year, the Dragons are proud to welcome several new sponsors into the family, including Dandy’s Top Soil, The Pizza Guys Deeside, and Lifestyle MD – all fantastic businesses who are choosing to stand with the Dragons and be part of our journey.
We are also incredibly proud to announce that Steel 4 Structures – who have backed the Dragons for many years – have stepped up to become our Title Sponsor for the 2025/26 season. Their long-term commitment to the club and their decision to increase that support to the very top level is a huge statement of belief in the Dragons, our community, and the direction we are heading. Their name will sit proudly alongside ours all season long, and we couldn’t be more grateful for their loyalty and backing.
The support of Steel 4 Structures, our new sponsors, and our loyal returning partners sends a powerful message: the Dragons brand is growing stronger every year. Local businesses are recognising not only the value of connecting with one of North Wales’ biggest sporting clubs, but also the impact of investing in a community, a fan base that spans generations, and the future of ice hockey in Deeside.
Our sponsors aren’t just logos on a jersey – they are part of our team. Every ticket sold, every roar from the crowd, every child inspired by seeing their heroes skate out in Dragons colours is made possible by their support.
From the electric atmosphere of match nights to the grassroots opportunities we create for the next wave of players, our partners play a direct role in keeping the Dragons flame burning bright.
So, from everyone at the club – the players, volunteers, and fans – thank you for standing with us, believing in us, and helping us to push forward into a new era. Together, we are more than just a team – we are a movement, and this season we’ll show once again what the Dragons spirit really means.
🐉💪 The countdown is on. The Dragons are coming.
