The Aspray Chester Deeside Dragons are sad to announce the departure of goaltender Matt Croyle.
Matt spent two seasons with the club, and was an important piece of their success over the last two years. During his time as a Dragon, Matt played in 43 games, had a record of 25-16-1, and made over 1500 saves for the club.
His commitment to the Dragons was nothing short of exceptional, and he will be missed on the ice and in the locker room, as well as by the fans. However, once a Dragon, always a Dragon, and we look forward to seeing Matt have success in his future endeavours, and we wish him luck in the upcoming 24-25 season.
On Matt’s departure, GM Shaun Bebbington said, “Matt was a true professional and an MVP for the club in numerous games. He gave us our first ever win at Whitley Bay against the Warriors this season, and he’s a huge loss for the team. Good luck to Matt wherever he ends up, but he’s always welcome back at the Den!”
