The Aspray Chester Deeside Dragons are excited to announce the return of forward Ross Kennedy for the 24-25 season!
Ross is a Deeside trained player, and will be playing in his 11th season of pro hockey at the age of only 26. As a community first club, having locally born and trained players is key to our success, and Ross is one of many players who started out as a junior Dragon before graduating to the senior team.
Last season, Ross recorded 46 points in 29 games, and since returning to Deeside in the 2022-23 season, he has recorded over a hundred points in a Dragons jersey over two seasons. Ross is one of the most exciting Dragons of the past two seasons, capable of providing highlight reel goals as well as explosive skating and though he has moved to forward full time, he’s shown that he can still be a part of the team-first defence that Head Coach Mike Clancy insists upon. He’s become a leader on and off the ice, and the Dragons are excited to see the next level of play that we know Ross can reach this season!
“I’m excited to be back playing with the Dragons for another season! I’m really looking forward to playing with the team Mike has put together, we have the experience of familiar faces and determination of the youth stepping up. I truly feel like we can push for success this year. The staff, management and volunteers make it a pleasure to be a part of, and not forgetting the best fans in the league! See you all in September!” Ross Kennedy
