The Deeside Dragons are thrilled to announce the signing of forward Damarni James, who joins the club from local rivals Widnes Wild.
At just 20 years old, James already brings a wealth of experience across multiple levels of British ice hockey. Having developed through the Bradford Bulldogs junior system, he made an early mark with standout performances at U15 and U18 level, where he consistently produced points and earned a reputation for his pace and determination.

A former England youth international, Damarniβs journey has seen him climb the ranks from the junior leagues to senior hockey β including stints with the Bradford Bulldogs, Blackburn Hawks, and Leeds Knights, before spending the last two seasons at Widnes. His progression has been impressive, and his physical edge and offensive drive have caught the attention of teams across the NIHL.
Last season, Damarni featured regularly for Widnes, combining strong two-way play with a willingness to battle hard in every shift β traits that will make him a perfect fit for the Dragonsβ style of hockey.
