The Steel 4 Structures Deeside Dragons are delighted to announce the return of goaltender Phil Pearson for the 2025–26 NIHL 1 campaign.
A composed and experienced presence in the crease, Phil is no stranger to Deeside. This upcoming season marks another chapter in his Dragons journey, as he looks to build on solid performances from past campaigns.
Phil featured in 5 league games during the 2024–25 season, recording a 5.22 GAA and a .869 save percentage, as well as appearing in two playoff games. In the 2022–23 season, he played 14 games, logging a 6.60 GAA and .849 save percentage, demonstrating his reliability and resilience between the pipes.
Reflecting on his re-signing, Phil said:
“I’m very happy to be re-signing with the Dragons again for the coming season. The team looks like it is taking shape and I am very excited to see what this squad can do.”
Head Coach Mike Clancy added:
“Phil brings great experience, composure, and a winning mindset to our roster. He’s a strong addition between the pipes and a great fit for the team culture we’re building here at Deeside.”
Phil will also continue to play a key role in developing our goaltending group, working closely alongside goalie coach Dave Clancy to mentor and push the netminding core to compete at the highest level.
