WELCOME TO DEESIDE OLLIE HOWELLS

The Aspray Chester Deeside Dragons are excited to welcome another new face to the Den this season, as we have signed Ollie Howells for the upcoming 2023-24 season! A product of the Telford Junior system, Ollie spent last season in Sheffield, where he played for the Scimitars, the Titans and the U18 team, which won the league.

The Dragons continue to commit to developing and enabling young British talent, and Ollie is a great example of someone we believe can flourish at the NIHL1 level with the right coaching and teammates.

“I’d like to thank Mike Clancy for the opportunity to play for the Dragons this coming season. I am grateful to be considered to play in such a talented team with a well respected coaching staff. I have thoroughly enjoyed the visits to the Den last season, where the atmosphere created by the fans was electric. I look forward to continuing developing and playing at the best level I can in front of those fans. I am hoping for a successful season for the Dragons and hope we can build on the solid foundation laid by the team last season. Hope to see you all in the Den soon.” Ollie Howells

“Ollie is another exciting prospect for the Dragons this year as we aim to get younger, faster and more enjoyable to watch. He’s a lad who I’ve watched closely through my time playing at Telford and last season he took it upon himself to make a big decision to jump ship and move to a different club where more opportunities awaited. He won the Under 18s league with Sheffield and got some key ice time with the senior team. I’m really looking forward to having him on board and I know he’s excited too!” Assistant Captain Andy McKinney
