There’s A Pidgeon In The Den!

The Aspray Chester Deeside Dragons continue to make a commitment this season to young players as they welcome back long time Dragon Charlie Spridgeon for the upcoming season!

Charlie has been a Dragon since 2014, where he played for the U16 Dragons, except for a brief trip to Telford in the 2021-22 season, while the Dragons were out of action. Last season he had a strong start at a depth player before a broken jaw derailed his season, and he only ended up playing 23 of the 31 games for the Dragons. He is now fully healthy and ready to be a big part of the team come September.

“I’m excited to build on from last season. Hopefully we can climb up the league table, with a few new faces around the dressing room I think we can challenge and be really competitive in the league next season. I can’t wait to get back on the ice with the lads!” Charlie Spridgeon

“Charlie’s attitude is brilliant and had a great season for us last year. He really improved as the season went on despite breaking his jaw. It is also great to see another Deeside junior as an established player in the senior team.” Assistant Coach Matt Compton
