Rhys Steps Up

Your Aspray Chester Deeside Dragons are delighted to announce Rhys Stout as our new equipment manager.

General Manager Shaun Bebbington has this to say on the appointment.

“Charles had approached me early on in the season with the possibility of him moving out of the Deeside area. He asked if he knew someone that he could show the role of Equipment Manager and I knew the right guy.

The role of the Equipment Manager is very important within an ice hockey club and sometimes does not get the recognition it deserves.

The skills needed are for someone to be a great communicator, passionate, likeable, great on the tools and understands ice hockey and its equipment. We have a guy here who has the potential to be one of the best.

Rhys is coming to the end of a fabrication and welding apprenticeship at our commercial partner Steel 4 Structures.

He has the passion for Ice Hockey where he represents the Chester Road Reapers and plays cricket for Connah’s Quay Cricket Club.

Most importantly he has been welcomed as one of the lads.”

Rhys commented: I’m really looking forward to this challenge, I’ve really enjoyed my time working with the lads so far and I can’t wait to be part of this successful team in the future.

It’s been great working with and learning from Charles in the short time I’ve been with him and I’m really grateful to him for showing me the ropes, it’s sad to see him go but I wish him all the best for his future

On behalf of everyone at the Dragons good luck Rhys and enjoy the ride.
