New King On The Block

The Aspray Chester Deeside Dragons are excited to announce the signing of defenceman Cade King for the upcoming 2023-24 season! Cade has played all his junior hockey in the Manchester area, making his senior debut in 2011-12 with the Trafford Metros, and going on to play for the Manchester Pheonix, the Manchester Minotaurs, the Altrincham Aces and the Blackburn Hawks, where he’s been for the last three seasons. Last season Cade wore an A for the Hawks, recorded one goal and four assists in 28 games, and he will add compete, toughness and veteran leadership to this team.

“I’m really happy to be joining the club this season! The lads that I have played with previously have had nothing but good things to say about the club, the fans and the environment around it. Also after speaking with Mike over the summer and seeing the team he’s put together I felt it was a no brainer to join the Dragons and compete on all fronts next season.

Lastly to the fans it was one of my favourite rinks to play in last year as an away player so I cannot wait to play with you guys supporting me and the team. See you in September.” Cade King

“We’re really pleased to announce the signing of Cade King to the Aspray Chester Deeside Dragons. Cade is no stranger to the Dragons team as a competitive player dressing for the Hawks over a number of seasons. He has felt at ease around the team, dressing room and it continues to show on the ice sessions through pre-season. He brings a wealth of experience to the defensive line up that will help us compete, whilst driving deeper accountability on competition for game day places. Cade has worked hard through the summer and comes to us in great shape, ready to hit the ground running as we prepare for the Bristol Pitbulls. Welcome to the Den King Cade!” Head Coach Mike Clancy
