We are delighted to bring you the exciting news that Petr Valusiak, the dynamic forward for the Aspray Chester Deeside Dragons, will return for his second season. In the 22/23 season, he proved to be a formidable force on the ice, racking up an impressive 18 goals and 32 assists in just 26 games.
Sharing his thoughts on returning, Petr stated, “I’m really excited to be joining Mike and the Dragons team for the coming season. Everyone made me feel really welcome last year, the fans were fantastic, I had amazing teammates and it felt like family every time I came to the rink. I know in this environment I can really push on and add to the team’s success throughout the season. Much ❤️, Your Dragons family” His sentiments are a testament to the inclusive and competitive culture we foster at the Dragons.
Petr’s impressive agility, skill, and ability to perform under pressure have made him a fan favourite and a key player for the Dragons. His versatility and offensive prowess have significantly contributed to our wins, and we’re eager to see his performances in the upcoming season.
Head Coach Mike Clancy also expressed his delight at Valusiak’s return, stating, “We are delighted to be adding Petr to the roster again for the 23/24 season. Despite the unsettled start to last year for the Aspray Chester Deeside Dragons, very different to what Petr would have been used to in previous hockey seasons, he still came up big when we needed him most.”
Clancy continued, “I’m excited to see what Petr can do with a proper preseason and within a settled team environment. I have no doubt his contribution will be massive for the Dragons in line with our expectations to more than just compete.”
