Ryan Broster-Jones returns to the Den

New Signing for Aspray Chester Deeside Dragons Ice Hockey Club

Ryan Broster-Jones has joined the Aspray Chester Deeside Dragons to strengthen their squad at the Den. Ryan will be familiar to Dragons fans, having progressed through the ranks and last appearing for the club in the 18/19 season.

Head coach Mike Clancy emphasised the importance of signing Ryan with the club facing 22 games in just 12 weeks., “Ryan will be a familiar name to the Dragons fans playing competitive hockey last for the team in the 18/19 season. He is naturally competitive and will help drive the competition amongst the squad for game-day places. Ryan will be a welcome addition to the team as we face 22 games in a 12-week run. It won’t take Ryan long to get up to game speed and expect him to feature regularly as the games come thick and fast in 2023. Welcome to the team Ryan.”

Coach Matt Compton also added “It’s great to welcome Ryan back to the Dragons, especially with him being a local lad who came up through the club. He has grown up and matured a lot from when he last played for the club. He is a very good D-man and once he has had some practice under his belt he will easily pick up the pace of the game and add extra depth and competition to our squad.”

Ryan is also excited to be back adding “It’s a pleasure to have been asked to come back to the Dragons after a couple of years off playing. I am amazed to see such a brilliant set-up put in place by the management team after the difficulties of not having the rink at the start of the season. The Den looks amazing and I am really looking forwards to being part of the team again.”
