The Deeside Dragons are proud to announce that fan favourite Jared Dickinson has signed a new two-year deal with the club—and will wear the captain’s “C” as he enters his fourth season in North Wales.
A dynamic forward with the ability to drop back and strengthen the blue line, Dickinson brings grit, leadership, and unmatched commitment to the Dragons’ dressing room. Now, as the newly appointed captain, he steps into a role previously held by club stalwarts Snip and Larry, who led the team with distinction for more than 15 years.
Reflecting on the news, Dickinson said:
“It feels great to be re-signing for another year—hard to believe it’s already season four!
It is an honour to be asked to wear the “C” for the Deeside Dragons. This club means a lot to me and my family, so to be given the chance to lead this group is something I am proud of. Snip and Larry have left a tremendous legacy captaining the club for the best part of 15 years, so this is a role I am not taking lightly.
So far it looks like we have a great mix of talent and character in the locker room and I’m eager to start working with the lads.
I am looking forward to the challenges ahead and doing everything I can to help push this team forward.”
Dragons General Manager Shaun Bebbington praised Dickinson’s re-signing and leadership appointment:
