#94 JACE GLEDHILL SIGNS ON TWO-YEAR DEAL

The Steel 4 Structures Deeside Dragons are delighted to announce that goaltender Jace Gledhill has signed a two-year contract extension, committing his future to the Den through the 2026–27 season.

Despite being just 18 years old, Jace is already preparing to enter his third season with the Dragons — a testament to the trust the club places in the young netminder. Last season, Gledhill featured in 10 NIHL 1 games, posting a .815 save percentage and 5.67 GAA, while also appearing in two playoff games. The season prior saw him record a .835 save percentage in limited appearances, showing steady improvement in his game.

Fresh off his A-Level exams, Jace spoke about his decision to re-sign:

“I have been busy revising for and sitting my A-levels over the past weeks, and Coach Clancy has given me the space and time to consider a two-year contract he came to me with at the end of April. I am thrilled to accept the offer and be able to play at the Den in front of you amazing Dragons fans once again. Best fans in the league… COYD.”

Head Coach Mike Clancy had nothing but praise for the young stopper:

“We’re thrilled that Jace has agreed to a two-year extension. He showed remarkable maturity and skill last season between the pipes for us and with England U18s. At just 18, his potential is huge, and this contract gives him the platform to refine his game, learn from our experienced goalies, and develop into a key part of our future.”

Jace’s composure in net, work ethic, and hunger to improve have not gone unnoticed. With this new deal, the Dragons continue building a solid foundation around emerging young talent as they push forward into the 2025–26 campaign and beyond.
